Life is WAY too easy these days, thats why the left has so much free time to protest and chimp out about the dumbest of nonsense things.

There are literally billions of people out there who would give anything to clean up vomit and needles in our stairwell. And here we are "chimping out" over the stupidest, inconsequential stuff.

Our grandfathers were storming beaches and bludgeoning people to death. Thise fuckers had something to be post traumatized about.

And yet my grandfather was a lovely human. I believe he was the way he was because he knew what real hardship was. Family actually starving while they were bombed in Holland repeatedly. House was bombed and he lost his mother, and brother. House, everything gone as a teenager.

My Oma said her family survived because they had a half dozen apple trees, and hid them from the Germans under the floor.

I live in the bush with wolves and bears and shit.

tbe I think young people especially women and especially liberal women absorb all the world's problems through social media and then they legitimately get burned out

I am the General Manager of a high end construction company with a crew of 25 tradies plus subs, working out of boats and barges. 10,000 ways to fuck up out there, 60 hour weeks.

-My dad died of leukemia a year ago (that was a pleasant preceding 2 years of failed bone marrow transplants, surgeries, etc)
-Sister just had a stillborn baby
-Wife and I have had a 7 year infertility process, five failed IFV rounds, miscarriages, surgeries, three different failed surrogates
-Worked through wifes resulting alcohol issues

And I've not even taken a sick day.

So forgive me if I have no time for "muh mental health break"

u have been through it all i have some war stories myself but we must not lose our empathy

going through stuff like this is HARD and it makes u tough as nails and it makes it impossible to connect and respect people going through really trivial shit so the challenge for us is not to solve their bullshit "problems" but to actually feel empathy for them even do we would consider their problems tiny nuisance and we know deep down a real bad day they would be on suicide watch

that's how i look at it when i hear trivial shit at work etc we must not lose our humanity

Sunshine wouldn't feel good if it wasnt for rain- 50 cent, I think...

I understand that everyone processes things different, and empathy is a good thing to have. Stoic principles help hugely for life in general


But some days you shake your head in disgust at what society had allowed to happen. Suicide rates are higher than ever, arent they?
