Honda Ridgeline -- best truck for men comfy in their sexuality and logical in their thinking

Have thought about trading in my Ridgeline for another Prius, but my 4 year test run still leads me to the same conclusion -- that the RL is the best truck for 90% of men. However, most men aren't comfy in their masculinity and cater to what they want to project (90% of men are simps) over what is logically the best tool for the job. It's for similar reasons that women cake on makeup....to project youthfulness/beauty that don't actually possess.

good interior roominess

good ride quality compared to almost all trucks

good handling (for a truck)

very reliable (one of the few still having a simple naturally aspirated engine)

decent gas mileage of 20+ in mixed driving

has a handy trunk/cooler under the bed for storage

swingout tailgate that should be on every truck

Essentially, it's the best daily driver pickup truck for 90% of truck buyers. But we know humans can be illogical when it comes to many things. I've heard a lot of engineers drive the RL which wouldn't be surprising given the mentality that gives them aptitude for that career.

I like the swingout tailgate and yes that should be standard. The truck is too low for my tastes though I'd have to get it lifted.

Don't care about looking off road, I like feeling elevated and being able to see things better. It's why I never got into sports cars, they're just too low to the ground. That and they usually feel cramped inside.

are you 4'8" or something? what is this requirement that has you needing to see better than what 99% of vehicles ever produced can provide?

i mean i could understand something like a sports car feeling low (like the trans am i used to have)...but most any suv or truck sits perfectly fine to see out of....not to mention that lifting vehicles compromises suspension geometry/relaibility/handling/fuel economy.

saw like 10-15 of them in the retirement community (55+...average age probably closer to 70) of my friend's parents. my guess is that by that age most people have wised up to the point where they buy what works best for their needs with much less thought given to projecting an image like younger people.

back in the 90s it was super common to see older men putt putting around in basic/stock rangers/s10s/sonoma/dakotas.

That diesel gets like 35 mpg. A truck/engine combo that actually makes sense as a daily driver. It can do anything, and is efficient to drive.

many tools have a purpose...thing is 90%+ of truck buyers never approach the capability of their tool...they just wanna look cute instead of buying the tool that better suits what they actually do. seen it for 20+ years....dudes working their way up the "biggest truck they can get approved for" ladder.

Most people can get by with a mid size crossover SUV, which is why its a huge market segment now.

What I will never understand though is guys with big jacked trucks and those low profile tires, big ass rims, and tires 13" past the fenders.

A few of the guys on my crew actually rock crawl and off road and stuff. But a pickup in general makes little sense as a daily driver for most people, let alone a big ass truck with a fkin 7 liter
