SENATOBIA, Miss. — A devastating officer-involved shooting in North Mississippi has left a young child dead and a community shaken as state investigators step in to piece together what led to the tragic encounter.Authorities said the shooting happened just after 2 p.m. Sunday outside the Walmart on U.S. Highway 51 in Senatobia. What began as a reported shoplifting incident quickly spiraled into chaos — ending in gunfire and heartbreak.Senatobia police responded to reports of shoplifting at the store, where officers said they encountered two adults and a small child running from the building and getting into a vehicle.Video obtained by FOX13 — captured by a witness' cell phone — shows the tense and fast-moving moments that followed. Officers can be seen rushing toward the car as the driver attempts to pull away from the scene.Police said in that moment, the situation escalated dramatically.Investigators report the driver allegedly drove toward officers, nearly striking at least one of them. That's when an officer fired shots into the vehicle.Inside that car was a child.

Liberals think that stores should just let people come in and take what they want, actually paying is optional. They say companies have billions of dollars so they can just pay for it out of their profits.

So the mother and aunt should be both executed. Don't give these people a chance to continue breeding. I feel bad for the baby. The parents need to be made examples of, for the betterment of society.

The cop should lose his job and never be allowed to work in law enforcement again. You are not supposed to discharge your firearm if you're likely to strike an innocent, which a one year old child is.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

They are not supposed to discharge their firearm unless there is a threat of death or serious bodily injury. He should not have even unholstered it.


It has been determined time and time again in federal and state courts, and is literally part of police doctrine, a police officer cannot create a danger to themselves by putting themselves in front of a fleeing car to try to stop it, and use that as justification for deadly force. Furthermore, if they find themselves in front of a fleeing car, their first responsibility is to get out of the way.

Fleeing is not justification for deadly force at all.

Not only did he not have a reason to pull his gun, there are laws and policies that say he shouldn’t have.
