Nah. I have a pretty high specd gaming PC and I barely game anymore.

Pretty cool for what you get though. Always enjoy seeing what valve puts out.

I've got two machines that cost about $4000 each. So no.

I'm at a point in my life where I don't have time to play games and if I do, it'll be a retro or older title. Having access to the full steam library sounds enticing but most I'd spend on this thing would be around $700. 1k price tag is ridiculous

It is always better to build your own. But yeah, same as me. Don't really game as much anymore and it tends to be older games.

Nah. Had a Steam deck and it could barely play anything modern, and if it did it was loud af. I'm sure this will be the same.

PC gaming needs to move to ARM.

PC gaming needs to move to ARM.
ARM still has a way to go. My MBP 4 has done astonishingly well given it is a laptop, but there were lots of bugs that I am fairly certain were related to games not interacting well with the hardware. Not the OS.

Games not being programed to utilize multiple cores is still very common and is where ARM faces headwinds. Low count, highly powerful CPU cores will probably remain supreme for the foreseeable future. Not that I am dismissing how far ARM has come or that it can't be the future.

They want $1,000 for a Ryzen 5 7600 and an RX 7600? Lmao.

To make matters worse, some units reportedly ship with a single stick of RAM running in single-channel mode, leaving performance on the table right out of the box.

I get that RAM and storage prices have gone up, but this thing would have a hard time selling even at a console-like $599 price point—especially if that price doesn't include the new controller.

I honestly don't understand who this is for. It's a Linux-based console that plays PC games, yet it's being marketed to PC gamers who most likely already own faster and more capable hardware.

The biggest issue is that they're trying to sell a single SKU with the "4K 60 FPS" marketing bs claims when the hardware clearly isn't built for that experience lol

In a perfect world, they'd launch with three performance tiers:• $599 — 1080p model• $799 — 1440p model• $999 — True 4K model

That would let people buy the performance level they actually want instead of paying a premium for hardware that's underwhelming for the asking price.

As it stands, this thing is completely DOA.
