10K a month to not work or 100k a month to work 60 hours a week?

You get 10k to do nothing but you can’t work at all to make more.

Or

100k a month but you work M-F 7-7

All of this is tax free

I'd probably choose option 2 for about 5 years, then once I have the $6M in my bank account earning $20k per month for me without touching the principal, I think I'd be happy.

$10k per month is decent money and can afford a comfortable life, but if you have 100% free time, you're eventually going to want more resources than that.

What kind of work? Is it the same work we are already doing at our current job?
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

If I choose 10k to do nothing, can my spouse work? I would want to get money into the market to protect against inflation (assuming the 10k isnt scaled to inflation) to protect against devaluing my income. The thought here is that the wife would offset some costs but really insurance in the big one. Then with my 10k, I would pay for anything else then stack cash in the market for a few years without changing much. Once we have a decent nest egg, I would let the wife off of work and just keep private insurance. Get a farm out in the middle of no where and just live our lives. Maybe go on a vacation once or twice a year.

10k simply isn’t enough money anymore.

Maybe if this were 2010 it would be.

It definitely is enough money, just not in the US to raise a family. I could live a really good life constantly traveling and earning $10k per month. A person can live very well in 95% of the world for that much money.

But if you did want to have a family and maybe buy a lake house and do things that way, $10k isn't going to likely cut it.

Have you ever thought about maybe upgrading your lifestyle a bit? Surely you could bump it up to $10k and not feel any difference....

You're getting old. You should have started that family like 8 years ago.

I’m only 36 pal.

I never bothered dating anyone seriously for the longest time because of my thinning hair and hiding it with hair fibers. Stupid reason but it is what it is.

Now that it’s solved and the hair keeps improving I’ll probably be dating with intention.

Yeah man time seems to be flying by as I get older and older.

Keeps me up at night and I definitely have a greater sense of urgency to figure it out.

do you really want a wife and kids or are you feeling pressured by society?

Lol, stop saying shit like "dating with intention". This is some 38 year old female coded bullshit straight from social media. Any girl who hears you say something like this will dry up like the Sahara, as it comes off as desperation.

I would never actually say that in person but it’s true.

There is a difference between going out, getting blasted and simply trying to get laid and actually going on dates with something long term in mind.

I’ve done the former for a long time because of my hair. Haven’t had a long term gf since 2019 srs
