Bro got his whole hand cut off by a 12-inch knife. Brootal.

Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — Amanda Miller, a local nurse, and her boyfriend were driving home Sunday when they came across a violent scene on Joseph Avenue.

"I've honestly never seen so much blood loss in my entire life, not even in an operating room setting," she said.

The couple had come across a man whose hand had been severed, according to police.

"My boyfriend was driving and I just kind of glanced out the window, and I told him, 'We gotta stop the car. There's a man with no hands,'" Miller recalled. "And at first he was like, 'What?'"

Miller quickly shifted into nurse mode, calling 911 before running to the man lying on the sidewalk.

"There was some people at the scene already," she said. "As I was running up to the scene, I had announced that I was a registered nurse and asked if anyone had a belt, not a tourniquet, because no one carries those around. But like a t-shirt or anything we can do to stop the bleed, and there was at least two or three people helping."

Miller tried to keep him calm as she worked and waited for help.

"He was closing his eyes, and I just kept telling him you got to stay with us right now," she said. "You got to open your eyes. You can't go. You can't leave us. You got to stay with us right now."

Once paramedics took over, Miller said she began to process what she had just seen.

“We noticed the hand was about 50 to 75 feet away from him, near what appeared to be an apartment building,” Miller said.

Rochester police said the victim was taken into surgery, where doctors were able to successfully reattach his hand. No suspects are in custody, and the circumstances of the incident remain unclear.

Honestly, you think Belfast's bad because you compare it with the UK in general. There are parts of the US (like certain bits of Chicago) that are statistically more dangerous than Iraq and Afghanistan. Srs.
