Florida Sloot dies after alligator bites her arms off

Apparently they were joking about alligators before she went swimming in the river. You could hear her screams in the 911 call below.

The friend of a hiker mauled to death by an alligator while swimming in a Florida river has said they joked about “air bubbles” in the water before the 13-foot beast attacked.

Brittany Clark, 31, was killed during a trip with her boyfriend Chance Allison on Sunday as they went for a swim in the the Econlockhatchee River at Little Big Econ State Forest, Central Florida.

Officials have said Allison desperately tried to wrench Clark from the reptile’s jaws as it ripped her arms apart.

More on the joking about alligators:

She wrote: “There were air bubbles within our little triangle we made with our bodies in the water and I commented on how it might be a sneaky gator and Chance, Brittany’s boyfriend swam right over it to show nothing was there and nothing was there.

“Britt literally commented on how she thought he was gonna act like he got attacked and we just laughed because chance would never do that because he’s an amazing person and I know he is because she chose him and only one amazing strong soul chooses someone just as strong as it’s own. It was just a joke…

“And just a few minutes later my bestfriend got attacked.”

Hernandez also revealed that the trio were accompanied by dogs “running up and out and around the water.”

She said that after being attacked, Brittany was “aware and literally yelling at chance and me what to do.”

“We called for help, and it felt like eternity talking to the dispatcher but it was only 12 minutes,” she wrote.

“12 whole long minutes of my bestfriend holding it together being the strongest person in the world.”
Paying tribute, Hernandez added: “I wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone, my heart goes out to anyone that knew her because yall know that she was a beautiful unforgettable soul, and how much she left an impact on anyone she met, god.

Having this happen irl is incredibly unlikely so it’s not like they were “asking for it” or being stupid. I’ve noticed gators being more territorial and aggressive lately had one that jumped in my face last year when I was looking for gar with a headlamp and a few weeks ago had one post up in a trail and it wouldn’t fuck off and kept growling at me.

One of the first things you learn when you live in Florida is that any body of water has a chance of having an alligator in it. Lived there for a few years. She should have known better. Some people always want to risk it.

It’s not something we go out of the way to do and obviously if you see a gator close you should leave but if your in any body of freshwater in Florida there’s probably a gator somewhere you can’t see

Beaches are different if you get the right time of year and know what you are doing, or swim at a patrolled/lifeguard spot. Still, I wouldn't swim up there except at the NPC beaches with the lifeguards. I would stick to man made or some of the isolated waterholes.

I have been to that forest and most likely walked along the same stretch of river they did. For those unaware, the rivers in Florida (unless within sight of a springhead) are dark tannic black with a tingle of red. Tannic blood water. Everything in your brain is saying do not enter. People swim in lakes, ponds, sections of river with high human traffic, ect. Its not insane to do that with several people in shallow water. What is insane is going to a remote stretch of river in a state forest and swimming (with dogs) at shoulder depth. They saw the bubbles and knew the potential, fucking fools. Most people who get attacked on lake shores are walking dogs, its usually the dog that causes it and the humans in the middle.

Smoking hot chick, and if she is willing to swim in that river you KNOW nothing was off limits in the bedroom.
