thats not true i could think of many instances where its not a illusion. for instance getting to a yard sale early and finding a smoking deal before anyone else.

buying the last of a item u need for practical use before someone else gets it

physically winning marathons

i could think of many more where it dont benefit someone else bein early

being the first one to throw a punch in a enivitable fight

being the first to nut in a virgin
