FIFA is such phaggot organization

I just learned other broadcasts are not allowed to say World Cup on air because FIFA owns trademarks rights and sells licensing rights to even reference it

So if you don’t have licensing rights it’s illegal to even say World Cup

This is the greedy org you are all cheering and supporting right now. Fuck soccer and fuck the World Cup

Other over-the-air broadcasts cannot air the game live because the NFL sells exclusive broadcasting rights to a single television network each year. Only FIFA pulls this shit. Just like only FIFA demands stadiums cover up their name if they aren't a sponsor. No one else pulls this bullshit.

Entities that own intellectual property are required to aggressively protect it. If they let anyone slip through, there could be a claim they choose to give up the rights.

This is why you see things like Disney sue a family over a grave stone with their imagery on it. They are not worried about the family or the grave, they are worried about another stronger entity using it as proof they don’t care about their intellectual property.

The concept of ownership is explicitly a legal one. In order to operate effectively in this arena, you just have to not care about humans.
