From what age do you think it’s safe for boys to start getting into lifting? I thought it was necessary to wait until all bones had fused or joint injuries could occur but not sure if that’s a wive’s tale.

As a matter of fact, it seems like most of the credible sources out there seem to agree that it’s safe for kids to get into lifting as long as they’re being supervised by an adult who knows what they’re doing.
One of the best arguments I’ve ever seen on this topic goes like this: “Nobody bats an eye or asks about kids’ “growth plates” when they’re banging into each other playing football. But all of a sudden, when they start lifting weights, it’s a problem.”

I think it's fine for any kid that wants to, but I wouldn't push one younger than 14 or 15 into it. Not because I'm worried about injuries, I just think they're better off running and playing when they're young. Above that age I encourage it for general health and strength. Especially if they want to do competitive athletics.

Dassit meng. I train my nephew and bring him with me every workout. He does absolutely great but sometimes I wish he'd put his phone away and eat better. What do I know after 32 years of training compared to social media though lol.
