Imo it’s all about generating revenue. The liberal government has run this country into the ground and needs more ways of generating lost revenue from their net zero carbon agenda. I don’t think they realize you need industries to survive , so let’s find other options and drain what’s left of Canadians bank accounts .

Meanwhile, that 35 page memo took ten employees six months to generate, costing the Canadian taxpayer about 450k.

I live in Ottawa, and the amount of money wasted by our government just on simple crap beyond what you read about is absolutely astounding. Especially man hours of staff.

Had a friend whose department did something similar for another agency, and once it was generated they literally said "oh yeah, we don't need that anymore".
