Feels smug now that the World Cup is over and not having watched any of it

Went from being a huge deal globally to old news within a day

Applies to most other things too

I also don't acknowledge major events that most people do such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's celebrations, birthdays, weddings, etc

Once they're over no one cares about them by the next day or so

Such as who cares who won the last World Cup in 2022

Likewise no one cares about the Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's celebration, or birthday that happened the previous year, let alone the years before

Feels smug to disregard major events that most people care about and instead let them pass you by unacknowledged because they'll be eventually forgotten about anyway
