Got my roommate for the fall. Asked me to not bring a TV.

I'm dorming this year, and I got into a pretty good dorm. Last night, the school sent out more dorm information and let me see who my roommate was. I got his contact info, and vice versa. He emailed me this morning. He introduced himself (25 year old, engineering major), and ended up asking me tonot bring a tv because of religious reasons. What the fuk?

He also included a picture of himself, and asked me to send a picture (of myself) to him. I'm thinking about writing back and sending a picture of the TV I'm bringing.

Pic of the guy, and I assume his gf?

I'd bring one anyway. He needs to pay for a single room if he has restrictions like that. My first college roommate was super religious and it was hell living with them. Good Luck OP

Does he want u to just keep it in your room or like no TV at all?

Another option would be to make up your own obscure retarded rule and tell him that he has to do it because of your beliefs and see how he reacts. Then use it against him when he has a problem with it.

Srs tho I would go ahead and switch to a new roommate if I were u. Dorms usually allow that no questions asked. Can already tell this isn't going to play out well.
