We always discussed having kids, and she was never hesitant. I really thought she wanted to have my kids. I'm hurt and I'm embarrassed. I never thought my own wife is embarrassed of me. Now I'm scared my height is more of an issue than has been addressed.

She doesn't want to have my children. She would rather adopt or go to a sperm bank. She basically wants anyone's kid but mine. I've tried to reason with her, reminding her that any of the kids could be short.

I've had severe depression over my height for years. My wife was the one person that helped me through it, and helped me remember I can still be loved. And now I do not feel loved.

Maybe I'm just feeling emotional, but I'm rethinking my marriage.

My grandparents were both tall...

That's very insensitive of her. It's not as if it's a genetic disease. It's height for goodness sake. Sure it's an important factor in life but if she really loved him she wouldnt give a fuk.

reading this makes me feel so terrible for the guy. But I don't think its insensitive of her to feel the way she does. I do think this is her fault though.

My only real hang up with ending up with a short man one day has never been because I couldn't be attracted to one. I think about my offspring quite seriously. I would feel like a chit mom if my son was short because short men get the shaft. And its not right.

She messed up because she went and married him and talked about children. I don't know if I would forgive her if I were him. What the hell kind of request is a sperm bank while your able husband who loves you and wants to give you children is right there.

You go as far as marry him and promise him kids, you take his manlet sperm and hope for the best. If I know I can't procreate with a little man I will not put him through this kind of brutal emotional torture jesus christ..

i think its more like if you have lived through an incredible injustice or witnessed it, you dont want your kids to live through that too. Because if you really love them you want whats best for them. There are too many short men who are really great on all fronts but discounted because they are short to ignore how that can impact your kid
