Is Hollywood racist to Asian men the most?

In 2016 they're still portrayed as betas. There is no positive Asian male leads. People of all races are trying to bring them down. Is it because China is a threat? Or is it because the WW2, Korean, and Vietnam negative depictions of Asian men hasn't really went away in the American psyche?

How come you don't see them get to smash some sexy white and black women honeys in the media? Sh*t son it's not really diverse. That's pretty messed up I tell you. We might have to have another war again.

This is a good thing as we start to see the kvetching and oy veying from the high verbal IQ degenerates that run Hollywood as China will inherently be more western friendly by not pumping out anti-white/pro-Marxist trash.

It's a complicated issue that requires understanding of cultural and historical trends

But honestly, so long as you don't portray in a negative light, IDGAF. It's entitled to think one deserves to be shown as the attractive one or cool one

Of note, the Asian population in the U.S. is surprisingly small, like 3% or something. Blacks are like 20%, Hispanics are even higher I believe. So market forces also play a factor here

Of another note, we're an increasingly international community, and the Asian middle class (namely, China) is quickly rising as a powerful market force. As they forge their own identity and get away from this foppish fetishization of the West they've got going on right now, you can expect changes

Look, I have an issue with Hollywood's liberal bs, but China having this much influence over Hollywood movies is not a good thing in regards to artistic integrity. China being able to dictate some aspects of Hollywood's big blockbusters is going to be horrible. Sure, because of China, we'll probably be spared some sjw garbage here and there, but for the most part, China is more interested in being able to just put their stamps in all Hollywood films or else they'll threaten to block out some films that don't do their bidding. The free market should have more of an influence whether Hollywood continues their liberal sh!t in films than an outside entity like China. Look what happened to Ghostbusters 2016, etc.

And in regards to the op's question, like I said, it's because the free market dictates what we usually see on the big screen. I've always said this, and I'll say it again, if people want to see more Asian actors, etc, in movies, then they should take the initiative to make the films themselves instead of guilting other into doing it. If there's a market that people think is not being tapped, then why not take advantage of it. There's a lot of money to be made if what those people say is true.

Then we need to get some money and mate with some Jewish darlings so we can have a foothold in American media.

We gotta infiltrate their societies. My dad always say your Chinese heritage comes before your American one.

You aren't seen as disenfranchised/discriminated against like other non-whites, so no one feels bad for you.

You aren't seen as sexy/taboo/whatever, so women aren't going to be as interested/attracted to asian male leads.

You aren't seen manly/jacked/mirin-able by men.

You're kind of in the worst spot unfortunately.

There is always something to be upset with Hollywood about. How about in Dick Tracy and Batman-type films where cops get killed indiscriminantly and are not mourned in the least?

But you're right, can't think of many Asian-looking men killing it in Hollywood right now. They even made the Korean guy in LOST unable to speak English - even though the actor was born in America. I remember when I saw him in something else (see? can't even remember) I was like, 'oh, the Asian dude from Lost learned English'.

Look dude, the power of Hollywood is severely overstated. If chicks aren't attracted to asian dudes it isn't because they haven't seen a Chinese athlete in some random teen flick, it's because the only ones they've seen in school are scrawny, waif little nerds that can't grow facial hair.

If you don't believe me then ask yourself this: why is it that despite being bombarded with multi-racial groups of friends on TV, the vast majority of people's social groups are of the same ethnicity?

That's why it is imperative we gotta control certain institutions in western society so we can influence the culture to be beneficial to us.

We are seen as the enemy. In that way we are seen as "manly." It's just that other groups don't want us to have a piece of the cake.

You might be right, but like I said, I just don't see how China having this much power is a good thing. Seriously, China right now almost has the ability to change some Hollywood scripts just by saying they're gonna ban the film from distribution in their country. That is troubling. I agree with you, a lot of Hollywood films is sometimes full of liberal bullsh!t, but I'm willing to take some of that as long as the core of the movie is all about the story and not some propaganda. The audience has been pretty good at detecting propaganda lately. Ghostbusters failed. Backlash against a possible black James Bond. And so on. If China has this much power, all we're really doing is replacing one evil for another. With all that said, there's some positives to China having influence as well, like some of you mentioned, since they're not even remotely politically correct there. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it ultimately changes some movies.

And I'm loling if you think they don't "ban" films that aren't convenient to them.

Do you remember the outcry and the oy veying from Mel Gibson's The Passion?

Well, I mean, despite all the oy veys having their hands at the control, the most important thing to them has always been money. If the free market dictates that they want to see a particular movie, guess what, it's going to get made regardless of the oy veys personal beliefs and morals. They have none when money is involved. The Passion was made due to Mel's own crusade to finance it if I'm not mistaken so you might be right there. But a lot of oy vey studios have been funding Christian films since a lot of them have been making money in the niche market.

Why? Seriously. Is your own personal identity so closely dependent on seeing your kind being represented in a way. If you're not getting laid enough, it has nothing to do with Hollywood.

I tell you brother, you ain't a real Asian or Chinese. Hell nah man, the people that have the highest income in America as a demographic are Jewish people. We don't call the shots in this society. Unless you like being the underdog all the time to other groups in this country. Not me.

Don't tell me you're a hanjian.

Honestly I disagree with this. If he's not getting laid a lot it does have something to do with Hollywood and media/social media in a sense.

You have to realize that most people are pretty stupid and shallow. They are very susceptible to stereotypes. If women see groups of men portrayed a certain type of way in movies, in memes on the internet, etc. they're going to have a preconceived notion of someone who fits that stereotype/image before they even meet you.

Of course this doesn't mean you're instantly screwed and that you can't move beyond that stereotype and be a slayer but to say it has NOTHING to do with Hollywood is a bit extreme.
