Don't discuss medications, we know what that is. -RR
etc versus working out strenuously?
I get really bad anxiety due to a ****ty childhood and boat loads of other things that have crippled my self-esteem, ability to look at people in the eyes and general outlook on life.
Certain medications make the anxiety go away entirely but in no way could they be used long-term without serious side-effects. I would need to do atleast 2-3 hours of pretty extreme cardio to not feel anxiety but even then it returns immediately after the runners/walkers/bikers-high wears off.

natural remedies only work for people who have a SLIGHT problem. doesnt work for people who have chronic serious issues.

I wouldn't even know where to begin/who to talk to in an attempt to describe my issues without immediately being prescribed something that may eventually be detrimental.
All I know is that I've been considering suicide - not because my life is bad or that I'm ugly, it's more so that I couldn't imagine living another 60-70 years with this god damn anxiety.

Dealt with pretty bad anxiety for years. Still had lots if friends, gfs, graduated university and law school, but most days were like pulling teeth. I had to will myself through every single day.
Finally went to a doctor to start SSRIs after a while of trying different dosage I found a dose that works for me and I love it. Life is 100% better now.
As for sides effects, I'd say my sex drive has decreased a bit. I find I want sent maybe two times less per week than before. But that trade off was well worth it.

Pills and potions don't make anything "go away". They only mask the problem by giving you a chemical lobotomy and the impression that your problems are not there.

I tried diet, excercise, meditation, you name it. Still ended up in the er twice in 24 hours two years back. I still do all those things but take an SSRI as well. Changed my life, seriously. Been happier, more productive and way more social. I'd trade 20 years off the end of my life to be this content now. Some things have their place, and some of us genuinely need medication and not due to weakness. Stay safe and pm me if you want, I'll be glad to answer any questions you may not be comfortable talking about in public.

Take the pills now. Get yourself some therapy and take the pills until you are able to handle your anxiety issues on your own

You have to deal with it and look within yourself to fix your imbalances. Meditation, or even a psychedelic trip or two may help. Did for me anyway.
A pill you have to be prescribed and take everyday ain't gonna do chit but cover it up for the time being, along with causing other mental imbalances along the way. That way you can go back to the doctor and get even more meds so they can keep "taking care of you" aka slowly make you crazy/kill you while making tons of profit.
