ITT: we identify shared reoccurring dreams. (and other dream discussion)

EDIT: Top so far
1: Teeth falling out
2: Brakes not working
3: Punching really slow/ineffectively
4: Some type of flying

1. Driving a vehicle and pumping the brakes but they don't work.

2. Walking along a shore of some type, but the Earth begins to fall into itself and lava comes up. You run towards land, and make it for a bit, but you will be waking up soon.

3. Getting lost in stairs in the back of a church.

This. Usually they crumble to bits throughout the end of the dream. Circumstances are always different / forgettable but teeth always crumble to dust.

Haven't had it in a while now that I think about it.

I am gonna take a shot in the dark and guess that no one else has dreamed about crashing their helicopter a number of times?

1) I've had dreams that sort of predicted my future...kind of like a future dejavu but in my sleep.

2) I sometimes struggle to sleep or try to avoid thoughts of times I came close to dying and just realizing it was mere luck that I didn't die.

My mother still being alive. Shes been dead 10 years and every few weeks I still have dreams about her with us doing things together. Depressing waking up from that.

Running from someone (whom I can't see) and having to jump off a building to get away. Always wake up before I hit the ground.

Similar to teeth falling out have dreams where body parts start peeling off like my skin, fingernails, or hair. Never had teeth though.

I have had 4 dreams that accurately portrayed future events. Keeping in mind, our brains can create memories as we remember them, which is most likely what is happening.

I get the failing brakes one from time to time.

my scariest reoccurring dream is a low flying airplane that eventually crashes near me. **** is SCARY AS FUK! I don't know why I get that dream..not scared to fly, have never been traumatized by airplanes. sometimes I wonder if it's from watching all the 9/11 footage when I was younger lol, I don't know.

anyone else ever shoot up and wake in a sitting position sweating like crazy?
like I would have a dream where something would happen where I die, for example falling down and just as I'm about to hit the ground I catapult up into a sitting position in real life

I have also had many dreams that I can breath underwater. (plus one for breathing underwater)

does not mean I will breath underwater in the future. I have scuba dived a few times though.

So this is what it is all about. Identifying why.

Like, if I have a reoccurring dream we easily find what stimulated it. But when many people share the reoccurring dream, well, are we in the matrix?

Nice responses ITT. one of my reoccurring dreams has me out in a field in Nebraska or eastern Colorado in the high Plains and the Indians from dances with wolves ride up on me. I can hear the horses and then on the ridge line I see the line of them. The leader of the raiding party comes up to and circles me on his horse with his spear pointing at me. I see confusion in his eyes then I wake up. Had it at least 15 times.

Teeth falling out means you're most likely grinding your teeth while you sleep. See a dentist for a night guard. srs

Getting into a physical fight but my punches move .5 feet per second. Weird.

And yeah getting chased and the person always manages to catch up. Try to hide but the person always finds me.
