^Knight's Tale is awesome.

- Kingdom of Heaven
- Robin Hood (any of them, but the one with Russel Crowe is actually very good)
- Braveheart
- Exacalibur
-
- And of course

Spoiler!

I will stand firm, I refuse to kneel - The fury in me is divine
My dark grave awaits, my fate is revealed - But I'm not afraid to die

I liked King Arthur with Clive Owen. A different take on it for sure

"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda

I also vote Kingdom of Heaven. Absolutely gorgeous movie. Great characters too.

Just make sure you watch the director's cut (3ish hours). The theatrical version got absolutely gutted and is extremely mediocre. The director's cut is 100% worth the time.

Black Death if you're feeling something bleak. Ned Stark is the main character and he goes up against a necromancer played by Melisandre

Fuuuk, if we're including shows, watch Vikings (1's season is alright, but it gets much better in the second and better from there; the fourth season is easily Game of Thrones quality).

This is all assuming you haven't seen Game of Thrones, in which case wtf is wrong with you

Unsure if any of these have been mentioned.

1. Ironclad (2011)
Set in 1215 and revolves around the rebellion of the Barons against King John. Very much a siege film if you are into that sort of thing.

2. The Name of the Rose (1986)
This is quite a famous one with Sean Connery, more a murder mystery set in an Abbey so not really much fighting.

3. Excalibur (1981)
Cult film which many have suggested is the closest retelling to the Arthur myth, again a lot of famous actors making an early foray into cinema (Patrik Stewart, Liam Neeson, Gabriel Byrne and Helen Mirren).
