Toddler ends up with 50 stitches after dog of peace ravages it's poor face

LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Doctors are treating a two-year old at Kentucky Children's Hospital after a pitbull bit the boy in the face.

The bite happened at a home in the East Moreland Trailer Park in Lincoln County. Austin McClure, the toddler's father, said that doctors told him it was the worst dog bite injury they have seen on a child.

"Tore into his face and ripped his nose pretty much clean off his face. They said the dog was out to kill. It wasn't playing around."

The injured boy, named Trenton, received 50 stitches to his face. Doctors say he will have to stay at UK for at least a week for treatment.

because it's my own dog dumbphuk. if i tell you not to leave him around children its for a reason. never owned a pitbull crew. had a jack russel but gave it up for being to adoption for being too hyper and barking all the time. stay mad ****.

If a person own's a pit and their pit harms a child, regardless of how stupid the parents/guardians were for letting the child be near the pit, the owner should be held (and in many U.S states, already are) accountable -- either through fines or prison time.

Not the breed's fault imo. I wouldnt leave any dog alone with a toddler whether it was a pitbull or not. Dog's look cute and all but people dont realize that they are not so cute whenthey feel threatened and decide to snap.

True. Pitts can't help being savages. It's in their blood to prey on the weak (specifically children). We should just outlaw pitbulls in it's entirety since stupid parents don't know how to keep them away from their children. This is actually becoming very similar to the gun debate.

Whoever was dumb enough to let kid go near a large, unknown dog should be held responsible. It's just like if they left a loaded gun out

Obviously it's different if the dog got loose but I'm assuming from the article the kid was in the house with it.

I'm the biggest dog lover on earth but I would never let a child go near a strange dog. Especially breeds that are known to be territorial.


TLDR. Whoever was supposed to be watching the kid should be punished

Why does there have to be a weekly post about a dog attacking a child? Every time this **** happens in some bumfuk town the misc just has to be alerted.

People should be screened if they're going to buy a dog that is basically a weapon, though.

Dogs that display unnecessary aggression (due to fear mainly) towards humans should be culled and not be bred. This includes all those little **** dog breeds because they are far worse than pitbulls.
