Getting a $$$ Steak at a fancy steakhouse is the most overrated dining experience SRS

I've been to alot of fancy steakhouses

And to be honest, most of the time I can cook a better steak at home...

Not saying that they're bad, it's just for the price you pay, it doesn't live up to the expectation..

The only steak that lives up to the hype is kobe... Absolutely melt in your mouth perfection..

A steak from Texas Roadhouse is on par with most of these '$$$$ Steakhouses'

Texas Roadhouse is amazing. I love the bread. Steak is pretty decent.

Quality steakhouses are hnnnnng though not just for melt in your mouth cuts of steak that are perfect but also just for the atmosphere. I like treating myself to the finer things in life sometimes, like when sister comes to down or you have some event worth celebrating with a S/O and want to go out to a nice dinner. Also get hnnnng appetizers like seared Ahi, crab cakes, etc.

I agree completely. And most steak house you have to order sides a la carte. BRB 30$ steak, 10$ mushrooms and onion then 12$ potato. 12$ a Whiskey x3 and her drinks and overcooked salmon. BRB 250$ for ambiance. Agree with Texas Roadhouse. Lunch special. 8oz steak and side for 8 bucks. Hnnggg

Only one worth it is Chima at Tysons Corner outside of DC. Brazilian steakhouses are the sht and Chima is king

A SaltGrass Steakhouse steak is a little better than Texas Roadhouse steak.

No ,saying you can get as good of a steak at Roadhouse at most "fancy" steakhouses or cooking at home. Obviously exceptions to the rule but steakhouses tend to be overrated

Carne Asada burrito is about $7.

No one ever complained about eating one. just sayin.

i've never indulged because it's lose/lose

A)you don't fall in love with it and wasted all that money

B)you fall in love with it and proceed to ruin every other cut for the rest of your life

maybe im just low class but deep down i think high end dining is bull****

i've been to my share of fancy restaurants and 90% have been lackluster

one particular place fed us mostly exotic flowers n **** and was 5 hours course, we got there for dinner when the restaraunt opened and stayed until AFTER closing (srs)

and after the meal i went home and felt sick as **** and threw everything i spent the night eating all up (srs)

btw dinner was 600Euro/person lol

Crazy talk, unless you are talking about places like Ruth Chris.

Perrys, three forks and Kirbys in Texas are mouth watering same with Donovan in San Diego. Mortons is probably the best nationwide chain.

Had a 24 oz at Delmonico's last weekend, was hnng AF and only $25.

Best part of that place is the servers all wear these old fashioned stockings which instantly makes a 7/10 into a 9/10.

Actually agreed.

Cooking a steak perfectly just requires a charcoal grill and a meat thermometer.

The one thing I can't beat a steakhouse with is their sides. Ain't no way I can match their twice-baked potato HNNNNG.

lol texas roadhouse is not equal to fancy steakhouses. However I do agree I could cook the steak to the same quality with a more expensive cut than just some steak from the grocery store. However it is also just about the experience. If 100 dollars is really that big of a deal to you than you are poverty as fuk.

Yeah I'm all for Texas Roadhouse (them rolls hnnnggg), but most of their meat is USDA Choice instead of Prime like you'd find at a quality steakhouse. Prime meat is much better no matter what kind of cut you get.
