We should be insulted by the iPhone X

The minimum price is literally 1K USD. It costs only a fraction of that to make it. But there will be lines to buy.

Good job humans. You Literally suck at reason.

for a phone, it is. regardless of your income. Especially when you consider the cost to make it.

But you are parent rich or lying, so your opinion is irrelevant.

Yeah. If you can get a brand new laptop for like $300, then a top of the line cell phone should be like $500 MAX.

I'm not an Apple slappy of any kind, but if you really think about how many devices are combined into an iPhone, $1000 isn't a big deal. GPS, Maps, Getting Laid on Tinder/Bumble, Transportation, Being able to speak to people all over the world, Group Texting, E-mail, Surfing the Internet, Music.

I honestly do about 2 hours of work and reading on my iPhone before even getting out of bed in the morning. To think that I'm only spending $1000 on a device that I will use an average of 3-4 hours every day for the next 2-3 years really sounds like a bargain.

you guys are insane. It costs a fraction of fraction to make the device, and it is literally designed to malfunction so you have to pay to repair, replace it.

but you *******s want to brag about how much money you have (lol, you don't have that kind of income and everyone knows it).

Lmao same here. Bought it last year so I've always been a model or two behind. I haven't researched what the 6 or 7 or even this new one has that mine doesn't. Honestly the only thing I would like to be better is the camera. I have like 5 apps that I use and it browses the internet which I use a lot. So it's perfect for me.

Pretty sure the preceding iphone was ~$800usd, so the price jump is not that drastic

Also, apple markets it as their premier smart phone. Think the price is too high? Go for the 8 or 8 plus if you decide to go for an iphone at all

Plenty of people will buy it so hard to say it's overpriced

The fact that people are willing to buy it does not mean it is overpriced. People spend hundreds of thousands of dollars a year for valentines day. That is a waste.

You may be right OP but here's a question:

What makes it "too much" at this point? My iPhone 6s was like $860 brand new.

Why is another $140 the line in the sand? Every new model pushes the envelope further and it seems like we're moving toward ultra-expensive gadgets that can do amazing things.
I admit all my threads suck :(

photography crew. Lets be real 1k is pennies compared to the cameras you buy. Plus you dont pay 1k upfront. You pay it with your plan. If you cant afford 54 bucks a month on your phone, then you are a bum

This is actually a good point.

but I argue that spreading the desire to learn and gain knowledge and inspiration is greater than simple "oh, things."

The people that enjoy my interactions don't pay for them. I provide them. You gonna give up your 1K phone for others?

No!!! didn't think so.

You can literally do all of this on a $100 smart phone.

It's not about how much you can afford to pay, or how much time you spend on it. It's about how much it costs to make and how much they are overcharging you. How are people not getting this
