Synthol Madness!

Synthol old news to most on bb.com no doubt, but wrote up an article on the practice of people turning themselves into balloon animals.

"Back in the day I was sitting at the judges table as an NPC judge and a middle weight bodybuilder was called forward to do his mandatory poses. He was actually a pretty decent bodybuilder if not for his ridiculous oversized balloon arms full of Synthol. When he was asked by the head judge to do a front double biceps pose, someone in the audience yelled out 'nice double synthol!' and the entire place broke out laughing."

Synthol is not a banned substance. Derp. Hadn't even occurred to me the topic was off limits here as it has zero connection to cell tech and no biological activity at all. Like starting a thread on olive oil. I'd hope mods wouldn't delete this one as it's a good warning to impressionable young brahs just getting into lifting and not knowing any better.

Well written article.

It truly looks horrendous. How can on obtain biceps and triceps like that with such an immense lag between them and their forearms? Natural or otherwise, one wouldn't have toothpicks between their elbows and hands with well developed bis and tris.

Doesn't even look aesthetic.

Looks f-ing terrible. I'd say they are the poster child for Body Dysmorphic Disorder/ Muscle Dysmorphia.

I remember when Ernie Taylor burst on the scene. It was my first intro to synthol and thought it looked stupid.

All these years later, it looks even more ridiculous and I can't grasp how these people think they look good.
