The man who started professional wrestling in Japan (Rikidozan) was korean out of NK, but lied about having fled there. He started wrestling in Japan portraying a Japanese citizen. He'd bill himself to take on foreigners, especially ones he'd bill and hype up as being from the USA. Now American's were HATED by Japan during this era...and he'd play the hero battling them. Anyway, When Rikidozan died...it was revealed he was not Japanese and was North Korean...this came as a shocking revelation to wrestling and sports fans in Japan... some of Rikidozan's students include Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki who went out to fight Muhammed Ali, and invent MMA.
