Office jobs are literally LDAR
There is nothing worse than being in an office building. It is one of the most painful and boring jobs on this planet

You have to weigh how much you like money vs how much you like enjoying life.

Better than manual labor or slaving away outside in the hot sun all day every day.

For most people it's SDAB
[Sit down and bulk]
Obviously not the most exciting type of work in the world but you could A LOT worse. Brb: tradie in terrible weather, customer service dealing with scum, dangerous jobs etc. If you don't have a rare skill or great idea it's the safe option.

My office job causes unemployment for guys in the trade. My wife is a mental health counselor. Weird how many of her clients are guys who found themselves unemployed as a result of what I do.

It's not cause of the office job, it's because you're FA and have no friends or hobbies. You lack balance in your life and blame work for monotony. The truth is you're the boring one.

There is no way i'd be able to do a traditional office job. I honestly give all the props in the world to those who do that. That job is a form of torture.

I'm not exempt from this myself. I've been busy with work (beyond my 9 to 5) in the past year or so. That's when I noticed that I find work less enjoyable. So I took steps to mitigate it, by taking some time off, going out to socialize and picked back up on making some music as a hobby. That improve my mood almost immediately.
If you don't have enough other chit going on in life you're doing it wrong. Whether it's a plague of modern society or whatever else, you're here now. Instead of going into denial mode like you do in almost every thread fist yourself and address your shortcomings.
I've seen you make the same threads more than almost any other miscer, save maybe the carsalesman; yet you ignore all the good advice that comes your way. Why is that?

Unless you're making massive $$$ or have very driven co-workers (like a start-up) yeah it's pretty bad.

I already feel drained after an 8 hour shift at a job where there's zero stress or difficulty and all I have to worry about is boredom. And that's with doing everything people tell you to do when you complain you're tired... Clean eating, drinking a fukton of veggies via my juicer everyday, regular lifting and cardio, taking every vitamin or adaptogen I can think of, daily meditation to lower stress, getting lots of sleep. The only way I've been able to counter this is by abusing stims that I can't talk about on Misc.
I'd probably prefer it if I had 3 or 4 days with really long shifts and then extra days off because free time after a shift barely counts for me because my brain becomes such a potato.

The people there are different than other ppl. A lot seem frustrated, quiet and depressed. You're not doing anything so it's hard to get any social momentum. There are a lot of moody ppl there and it seems like every conversation is surface based. Not to mention you're confined and have to be professional and there are a lot of women around.
The office is like being stuck in your parents house all weekend or something. You just want to escape from the boredom and annoying bickering but you can't.

i agree with this. if you hate your job you should at least have an active social life. if you dont have either then suicide will probably be on your mind.
