Hypothyroidism related to low-Testosterone (Need advice)

Have been physically active/into sports my whole life. Never had an issue with muscle tissue - around 6'2... 25 going on 26 and have a generally full head of hair aside from a norwood 1ish-1.5? Not very noticeable.

However, I had my wisdoms out in June and was given Tylenol 3 and I took as prescribed - even stopped when didn't feel I needed them anymore. These left me very very constipated for around... 2 weeks even after I resumed my regular diet which includes a lot of vegetable (brocc, chick pea, grains, water water water).

Eventually went ham on ex-lax... not much happened. Finally went to doctor and I explained my situation and he pushed on my stomach in a few areas and I felt no pain - he noted that my stomach was not distended or protruding at all.

He gave me a form to get blood work done as he suspects I may have hypothyroidism. Recently (more like every winter - PNW brahs know about the gloom and doom that the winter's up here bring) I have began to feel extremely lethargic, a bit more depressed and anxiety that is slowly ramping up as the days get shorter.

Now obviously Misc is not a Doctor (although some of you are) - I am wondering if there is any relation between hypothyroidism in men and low testosterone? Obviously I am getting my blood work done - however, most of the research I have done on google is a bit confusing because hypothyroidism is usually associated with females.

I am still sitting at a low bf % - decently strong for the sports I partake in (endurance sports - lots of cycling). I eat well, yadda yadda yadda.

No relation between testosterone and thyroid function. Thyroid Stimulating Hormone controls thyroid, Lutenizing Hormone controls testosterone. Both are release from anterior pituitary so you would have to have some pituitary problem to have both, but pituitary lesions will usually present with headache/vision disturbances

You def could have low test or thyroid, sounds to me like thyroid though. More common in women, but happens in men also. Low testosterone would present with different sx- low libido, balding, erectile problems. Sx of hypothyroid are weight gain, constipation, fatigue

Fatigue in winter can have to do with depressive sx....depression is one of the most common causes

I don't feel depression as much as I do anxiety. I haven't gained any weight - and would rather not get involved with SSRI's. The constant constipation without bloating is concern but I do cycle pretty regularly and have maintained if not lost some weight as I have cleaned my diet up/got out of the summer party/fun mode.

What are the consequences and furthermore what are the ways that hypothyroidism can be treated?
