Is no one else hype as fuk for this show? Think it's going to be the best Marvel series yet. Plus Jon Bernthal is a sick actor, he is going to kill this role (he was already the standout in season 2 of Daredevil).

All episodes out Friday but I reckon it will leak early.

I have moderately high hopes for this - I was never a big Punisher fan though. Hoping this series can change that.

Love Jon Bernthal he is a great actor, I especially liked him in The Walking Dead. I have a hard time seeing him as The Punisher, he doesn’t need fit the role physically. From what I’ve seen Indont think he looks right in the role. But I will check it out, maybe I’m wrong.

That's what I want. Not to digress, but with Star Wars owned by Disney - the 'darkness' I hope to see represented is never there. Imagine what Star Wars could be if it was rated R?

So I'm hoping they hold nothing back here. I want it to be dark and brutal, like the comics I remember reading as a kid.

After the dismal result of Iron fist and Defenders I've lost most of my hype surrounding netflix superheros. DD 1&2 were really good, JJ was kind of passable and Luke cage was decent but fell off the wagon hard towards the end.

I'll be hyped for daredevil S3. But outside of that it's really difficult for me to invest in marvels netflix anymore. It seems like its more about pushing and agenda and social commentary lately than actually doing right by the characters

did you catch any of his roll in Dare Devil? He was a straight up savage in it. I would expect the same for this series.

I'm excited for this. Didn't watch Daredevil season 1 and skipped everything in season 2 that didn't involve Punisher. I don't think Bernthal necessarily looks like the comic book version of Punisher, but he still does a great job of capturing the character of him. Hoping that it's at least as violent as he was in DD.

Edit: lol. Just read a review from an obviously triggered person criticizing the show for it's "orgiastic gun play". Now I'm looking forward to it even more.

I did see some of it awhile back but I couldn't really get into DD TBH. The Marvel series have been too PG13 for me. I want tohatemy villains, like Negan, as opposed to them just generally being "bad".

Well Punisher is rated 18 (DD was MA) so it should be a lot darker brah. At least that's what I've heard.

Im a huge Punisher fan and have high hopes for this. I have been hype since i heard he was going to be in Daredevil and even more when I heard they would be making this show. That said i hope they dont botch it hard or pull some feminist agenda in it, if they do im cancelling my sub.
