hope the baby comes out alright from all of this. I read there was complications but hopefully not lifelong.
would probably be best if he/she never knew that his/her parents are brother and sister..

Why is incest a crime if it's consensual?

How is that any different than a disabled person having kids when there is a strong chance the kid will inherit the disability (This is far more damaging to a potential child than a healthy brother and sister having an incest child)

I think the argument is the disabled person had no control over the situation they were born into so in all fairness if they can make babies then more power to them unless we collectively agree they shouldn’t.

Incest is not a condition, you can easily not **** your family. Since it’s more of a choice it makes more sense that people can decide the legality of that choice.

This makes no sense. So if you have a messed up condition that you will likely pass on to kids, its perfectly ok, but to have consensual incest that results in a kid isn't ok?

You can't have it both ways. Either it's ok to reproduce when you know there's a chance the kid will be messed up, or it's not. Also funny considering the incest kid would have a lower chance at being messed up than the kid from a disabled parent.

Laws like this were put in place with zero critical thought. Just "hurr durr that's gross, lets make it illegal"

Wouldn't suprise me if stuff like this gets legalized and people with opposing views getting demonized and getting jailtime within 5-10 years.
