Lifting less = more gains
Lifting 3 days a week is plenty. I think anything more as a natty is counterproductive. More rest. More energy. More gains. Feels good man

Been trying to follow the leangains RPT protocal which calls for 3-4 days in the gym but i really enjoy working out as much as possible. Such an internal conflict

Depends on your goals. Depends on volume x frequency x intensity. It depends on your body type.
If you are an ectomorph, you should train more frequent. Body type plays role. If you are a natty and you powerlift, I think 3-4 days is ideal. Rest on the other days. I had great success with both of those, while my success wasn't as good with 5-6 days in terms of strength. If you are looking to be fit and look good, more days would be more beneficial. Undulating periodization would be a great tool.
It's not black and white like that. That type of thinking is more of a negative than a positive.
