Just LMAO @ Brakecels

Just LMAO @ you if you're a brakecel who doesn't drive a stickshift. What is a brakecel you might ask? A brakecel is the type of beta who has to hold on the brake at stoplights, or ride it going down hills. Sometimes they'll even have the audacity to ride it just for fun on flat roads or the freeway

LMAO @ having to brake on downhills while I just cruise in third gear and let the engine brake for me, saving my brake pad life
LMAO @ sitting at a stoplight but still having to fight your vehicle that wants to move forward
LMAO @ burning through your tail light bulbs that much faster
LMAO @ using up your battery to power those lights all that much sooner
LMAO @ creating additional traffic for minimal reason because you need to brake more frequently and consistently
LMAO @ having to tap your brake constantly in traffic to avoid a collision while I just cruise in 1st gear with 3-4 car lengths ahead of me
LMAO @ needing to obviously use your brakes to check a tailgater instead of just downshifting and letting them figure it out on their own
LMAO @ not getting an equivalent workout in your left leg pushing in the clutch every time you brake

if a majority of your driving is in commuter traffic you are an absolute retard for driving stick. no one past the age of 17 is impressed by your basic driving ability that everyone should know how to do anyway

Bought my daughter a manual. Told her it was because a manual will make her a more alert driver. I lied though -- it was really because I wanted to have a break from my boring ass Auto in the truck from time to time.

Exactly this. Why should I have to pay attention to another pedal and shift the gears myself like a peasant?

I learned on a stick, the first time I drove an automatic I was like, wtf why do they make stick shifts in non-sports cars?

Stick shift has its place but no thx for me.

Maybe for the younger crew it's a badge of honor. For us oldcels we're just fighting tooth and nail to make sure manuals don't disappear forever. Saw something a couple years ago that only %3 of all new cars in the US are manual. Every chance I get I tell people how awesome manuals are -- not because I think I'm cool but because I want others to know!
