Angela Holguin Webb (born May 26, 1968) is a physical education​ teacher​ at Tulare Union High School​ in Tulare, California​. In July 2018 she was arrested and charged after allegedly having a sex with a student.

On Friday, July 13, 2018, Angela Webb was arrested by the Tulare Police Department at her home in Tulare, California for allegedly having sex with a student. She was charged with one count of lewd act on a dependent adult and two counts of oral copulation​ of a person under the age of 18. [2]​ [7]​



The alleged sexual relationship between the teacher and the student lasted more than three years, Lt. Jarod Boatman said.

Angela Webb has been employed by the Tulare Joint Union High School District since August 1992. At the time of her arrest she was a physical education teacher at Tulare Union High School earning an annual salary of $133,677.30 including benefits

Wow. Glad I live in Europe. America really seems to be completely bonkers.

Granted that what this lady did is not justifiable (starting a relationship with a minor is not acceptable since the minor is not in a position to make adult choices yet), does she really deserve to have her picture and name plastered over the whole internet? I mean, in doing so you lessen the probability of rehabilitation in the future since it will be difficult for her to start a normal life again and get a job... And her crime doesn't seem to be as serious (although it is still wrong), since the relationship went on for 4 years so it was consensual.

In my country, news outlets are obligated to hide the names of convicts or only use their initials. Pictures have to be blurred out.

If you know someone who is a state employee, like a teacher, you can usually look up their salary online. Just search "public salaries (your state)" and search for their name on the website. Some teachers who have a specialist or doctorate make 100k+ depending on the state they live in.

I've wondered if it was because perhaps the teacher wasn't so popular in high school, didn't have boyfriends, didn't get sex, so now that she is back in high school she wants to go in for round 2, to see if things will be different this time. However that would only explain the 23 year old high school teachers getting busted, not the 50 year olds who had been on the payroll for 26 years.
