Lack of movies this year (2018) (Harvey Weinstein related?)

I use a "legit" site to watch new movies online... I remember in previous years there would be a new movie out every other week that i'd be pumped to watch...

This year however, it seems i'm going longer periods of time without seeing a movie that i'm pumped for.

Only thing I can think that has changed is that Harvey Weinstein is out of the game...

Has him being out of the game slowed down movie production world wide?
