I have a pair ive owned for about 4 years and havent washed them yet. Ive rinsed them with water but no actual machine wash cycle.... Thats what youre supposed to do with jeans.

Levi's CEO Chip Bergh says you should keep your jeans out of the washing machine.
Bergh lives by his words and hasn't washed his own jeans in more than a year, reports Neha Prakash at Mashable .

The executive claims that eschewing the washing machine keeps your jeans in mint condition and is better for the environment.

3-5 wears or until they get stained.

If they just have a bit of a smell to them you can always throw them in the freezer overnight (srs) it takes away the odor

n the quest for the perfect pair of jeans, to wash or not to wash has been the question.

Tommy Hilfiger weighed in on the subject last night, revealing he 'never' washes his jeans as he left a Los Angeles restaurant.

'I never wash my Levi's,' the 62-year-old told a TMZ reporter. 'They'll fall apart. I love them broken in.'

And the thought of washing a pair of jeans after every wear? 'That's crazy,' said the designer, who didn't specify how often he washes Tommy Hilfiger-label denim.

I dont workout in them. Just wear them when its cold (like 3 months per year in AZ). No sweat in my jeans, they still have that dark new-jeans look after 4 years. I only own 1 pair lol.

So if you are wiping your turd cutter and a little gets on the hand, you just rinse your hand with water? No soap necessary?

Literally just trying to understand here.

If you're putting in work in them, after you wear them obv.

If they're nicer ones you wear out once in awhile, never. You shouldnt be disgusting af in the ~4-5 hrs you're wearing them so there shouldn't be a problem.

The freezer thing is legit.

I never wear jeans when I'm working or its hot.

I have a pair of raw denim that I haven't washed in over a year. Overwashing kills the "natural" colors and patterns.

Yeah, you're not supposed to wash jeans regularly. Mine feel bad after and you can just tell the material takes a beating.

Wash mine if I get a spill or they get dirty which isn't often.
