Add another light in that back corner, small throw blanket on the back of couch for added comfort look. Move that weird painting thats above the 2 chairs to behind the light. Get another painting for that spot that has some personality in it.

This is in my bedroom. I have that Christmas light/vine combo going all the way around the top of my room with vines draping down each corner. Of course, that's not the main attraction when it comes to my room's decoration.

every time i visit a gal's apartment, it's cozy as fukk but packed with chit

my house is largely empty, but i'd probably get claustrophobic if it was packed

my bedroom literally only has a bed and a lamp in it lol (no prisoner)

I've done paintings like the OP, an you can too. Canvas is like 20 bucks (Gotta get it on sale) and another 10-20 in paint. Boom, I just saved you $40-$4000 bucks. AND it's custom colors based on your decor, AND its something you can talk about when you have people over.
