man approached my truck (story time) (srs)
I drive an older f250 super duty and was on my lunch break. I was heading back to work and my gas indicator said i had 10 miles until empty. My truck died and sputtered out I was able to pull into a residential neighborhood and immediately called my oldest daughter (no pics). She was on her way to get me. I saw two fat old white dudes talking outside a couple houses down across the street immediately staring at me. One left and the other started walking towards my truck and i rolled down my window half way here's the interaction:
Him : "are you lost?"
me: "no"
Him "do you know someone in this neighborhood?"
me "no"
awkward stares
I finally broke the silence and said "i'm waiting on my daughter"
his response to this is
"how old is she?"
"is she sick or something?"
at this point i lost my **** and cussed him out and told him to mind his own fukn business , rolled up my window and said have a nice day. He walks to the back of my truck and stares at my tags. slowly walks back to his house and stands in the front yard.
I got diesel and went about my business
Would you have handled this differently?

Why didn't you just say I ran out of gas and I'm waiting on my daughter with the gas can?

Do you have aspbergers or something? Why didn't you just say you ran out of gas? Seems like a pretty reasonable thing to say instead of autistic 1 word answers. You sound like you don't have the social skills to interact with other human beans.

I wouldn't have ran out fuel and had to park in a random neighborhood waiting on my kid to pick me up like a stiff.

Look, regardless of what you personally would do in this situation, the point of the whole discussion is that this encounter could very EASILY be resolved on your part by simply just telling the guy exactly what happened. But instead, because you are "in a bad mood" and the guy is "being nosy", you decided to be a jerk about it and then come whine on the misc expecting us to back you up on this immature behavior. You sure you a dad of 3 kids?

Dirty old biker pulls into my neighborhood and sits there in his chitty truck? I have kids, damn right I'm asking him wtf he's doing there, and I won't be "standing there" or "looking at your tags" either. Though I wouldn't have asked like a snot if you're lost either... I'd ask if everything was ok. Just tell me you ran out of gas, easy. Otherwise, that's a good way to get shot.
You see some old fukk hanging around your oldest daughter neighborhood, and you tellin me you aren't going to ask what he's doing? Damn right you are.
I'd have just said I ran out of gas, and was waiting on someone who's on the way (no mention of who though, none of their business). Dude was out of line asking anything about your daughter.

How do you drive a diesel powered truck and let it run out of fuel?? You cannot just start back up a diesel engine once it runs out of fuel, and anyone who does know would not let themselves run out of fuel....
