Spent all weekend moving. Not done yet but here are a few shots, it’s coming together well.

Do you not have a terrace (balcony) though?
It has a weird internal balcony type area where the windows open, weird but cool. If you look at the bedroom pic you can see it which I have made into an office, its enclosed in glass and it's own separate area. The windows open too so if I ever want to hurl myself down 19 stories I guess I have that option.

Trust me I know, I moved into my new place in NYC a few months ago. My building required movers with a COI, same thing for all furniture deliveries, still waiting on a custom bedframe (using my old one that doesn't match my other BR furniture) about 6 months after ordering it. Still have a 9x12 rug chilling in the corner that I don't feel like putting under the current bed frame since it'll eventually be replaced with the new one. Chits ridiculous.

That sucks. While I was moving into this place I couldn't help but think about what all NYC people go through when moving into a highrise. For this building they had to pull the truck into an underground dock, walk everything down a ridiculously long corridor, put it into a freight elevator to go up 1 floor, then transfer everything to another freight elevator to go the rest of the way. I was like LMAO this is why I paid movers. Fuk that.

TBH, the job my movers did looked so fuking effortless. Everything comes off the back of the truck, right onto a dolly, rolled down a ramp into the basement of the building, straight to the service elevator to my floor, down the hall and into my apartment. No lifting or tricky maneuvering required. Was like $1000 to move my chit 1.5 miles and they were done within 4-5 hours.

There's people who live in 5 floor walkups with super narrow stairwells, imagine having to lug up sofas and dressers and other heavy pieces that hardly fit up the stairs. That sounds like hell.

Edit: the worst part of my move was getting a kitchen table delivery, didn't want to be bothered with assembly so I had the delivery guys do it for me. They charged me $450 to attach the 4 fuking legs.

Thanks brah. Yeah to each his own no worries. Before I started getting more into decorating my places i was the classic centered TV guy too. Got more into clean scandinavian type decor which is just kind of clean and minimal, has a lot of off centered or staggered elements.

exactly this, mirin pretty hard cause I like the style. Little odds and ends to be tied up once you're settled in. Personally would prefer to live in a detached home, but I'm pretty sure your relationship status over the last several months has necessitated some lifestyle changes

Also the free hanging brackets for the TV/entertainment center are legit, I have the same white box minimal setup.

Holy sht, was that half the delivery cost? LMAO thats rough. And yeah I hear you on those stairs, my last place had stairs and I didn't pay movers. After myself and a few friends spent the better part of a day trying to awkwardly angle a bunch of heavy stuff around the corners I said never again, I will pay movers from now on.
