I Didn't Realize Nurses Make So Much $$$
Talked to my neighbor earlier and he said he made 160K last year. He's a Murse in the ED
Of course, he also said that he quit his job a week ago due to a sexual harassment claim
And he was installing a game camera in his truck because his jilted 28yo russian ex gf was threatening to damage it
But all that notwithstanding, mirin nurse income

Most nurses = single divorcee moms whose Kent’s haven’t seen a penor since Clinton was president srs
Look, i know i don't really know you and all, and i know you probably hear this like everyday, but your just so perfect to me. The few hours we talked were really great even if the convo was stale, your really pretty and chill, and your country thats just perfect :'D i really dont know how to explain it, but i think i have feelings for you somehow. i never felt like this with someone i just met, but i felt the need to get it off my chest. sorry for being all weird just idk how to explain it D:

Depends on where you live... 100K+ in city or high cost of living area is totally attainable.
For the average "middle class" area in America, your looking at 65-70K with over time. Over course there are specializing nurses like medi-vac and travelers.... but your pa bump comes because of lack of work-life-balance. SRS

160k sounds high. Must work a lot of overtime.
My nurse wife makes about 90k a year working ten 12 hour shifts a month. She is topped out in her rating.

i'm sure he worked a good amount of overtime. doesn't he make more since he's in the ED as well?

I know quite a few who work departments like er and ICU. None make more than 80k. I know a couple NPs and they clear like 100k. I know a travel nurse who makes 150k. Pretty sure all of them would relocate right now at 12:30am for 160k working a regular shift.

Next time ask him how many hours a week he works. Only way a nurse can make that much without any specialization is if they do 80+ hour weeks which isn’t sustainable
On the other hand look up what a nurse anesthetist makes. That was my original plan before I switched to CS

i've heard from a nurse over here that male nurses average about $60/hr and female nurses average about $40/hr. no idea if these are the top rate though, i think they most likely are. and then you include the OT.

These are Canadian bucks with Canadian CoL, but my gf will break 100k this year working less than full time in her second full year of work. 160k would take about a 55hr week average.
