Breaking up after 3 years
Broke up with my gf of 3 years because she was my first girlfriend, and I wasn't able to commit to her fully without experiencing more in life.
But it hurts SO BADLY. A week after I broke up with her I have so many regrets. We have so many pictures together, so many amazing memories. She was my best friend, and my support. I was hers. I fked up near the end and told her she isn't worth fighting for. Now she's moving on for real.
I have no idea what to do. This was the first girl to show me love like that. My first relationship.I feel like I have this huge void in me now. From seeing somebody almost every day, sleeping together almost every night, to not seeing them at all. To them dissappearing in your life forever.
I'm completely distraught and I don't know what to do. We were trying to stay friends but I lashed out over txt drunk last night and now she blocked me too.
Crazy to think this girl was 150% devoted to me, called me her life partner, and I've pushed her away. Feels.
Open to any advice. Really need some love and help.
2019/09/05 UPDATE:
UPDATING YOU BRAHS like 9-10 months later
Everything is fine, I was overreacting, grieving my first loss. Feelsgoodman I got through it, as soon as I was like 4-5 months in I stopped caring so much, checking her profile, etc.
Actually met up w/ her in person to catch up like two months ago, got some closure. We got back on "friend" terms, though we don't speak. I've slept with like 6-7 girls since then, didn't care for it much. She now has a new man I think, and it feels good not caring at all about it.
On to other things now. Focusing on work and lifting again. My ex was beautiful, smart, but I'm happy we broke up. She's changed a lot since we broke up, I don't think we were a good fit. SHe was pretending to be the girl I wanted, not the girl she is (at least that's how I see it now)
THX FOR THE PREVIOUS ADVICE BRAHS WE ALL GON MAKE IT

I did the same because I thought I needed to know what other women would be like eventually, so I didn't want to waste our time any further.
I felt the same as you did for a few weeks..
Once you get your next gf, you'll realize that everyone is interchangeable. You will then also learn that you could've just stayed with your first gf because anyone else wouldn't have done better. But you had to make the experience or else you would've asked yourself your whole life..
keep moving boyo.

Hardest decision of my life so far tbh. I've never felt pain like this before. So much pain.

Trust me (10 yr relationship that came to an end)...my situation was similar for first 7 years.
All younger girls eventually go through a phase and you beat her to it.
Time will heal it...as will other pzy.
Stay strong dude, sorry youre hurting.

If that's your actual reason, you dun goofed, unless she was actively holding you back from doing those experiences, in which case you'll eventually move on and be fine.
Read some more of your responses. You'll be alright man. Once those thoughts start, enough to push you as far as it did, you gonna always be wondering what if and might even resent her for it despite it not being her fault.
Dwelling on the "what if" about her is purely up to you. You can either stay stuck in the past, or move on and find a new girl.

Thank you for response.
You'll be in a cycle of regret just because it was a long-term relationship, and you gave a solid part of your life to her. 21 - 24 is definitely a time of growth: graduation through university, employment, moving out, etc.
It's hard to think about right now because she was your closest person (next to family) where you experienced that unconditional love - and now it's all gone. The feelings you get are completely normal - especially because it's your first GF for a long time.
Everyone will have those doubts, and its hard not to think about it when you haven't had much experience. Unfortunately for most miscers, they may be incels so for them it's harder to grasp having life experience for a better judgment.
The best advice you can get is honestly No Contact. It really is the simplest solution. Venting here is fine, but I guarantee you are still keeping tabs on her, and that's the worst thing. You'll still have temptation to go visit her profile, social media, etc. and that's fine...but it needs to become less and less. That's why the best thing to do is eliminate it altogether so you can make it easier.
You're still fairly young, and you'll bounce back np. You'll look back at this thread after a year and realize how funny it was you were acting. Once you start dating again, you'll realize that there's more out there for you.

People get back together all the fukin time.
But if that's not an option, you better go balls to the wall with this "experiencing more" thing, or you're gonna regret it.

c'est la vie
three years is three years brother. it's not the end of the world. you'll both meet new people and get on with your lives. new relationships will follow same trajectory as this one did.. honeymoon phase is all the same. recycled QandA period, new set of "firsts" with another person. the older you get the more disenchanted you will become vesting so much time/interest into what inevitably becomes flavor of the week.
I'd say you held onto this ltr longer than necessary out of habit and naiveté. the odds you found your most compatible/best genetic choice for longterm partnership on first drop in bucket are pretty delusional. as cliche as it may sound don't lose hope. almost everybody just wants to love and be loved in return..
spend as much time as possible finding who you are/would like to become independent of anyone else. you'll figure out what you love and how to love yourself more as the years pass. god willing a person that compliments you well/vice versa will appear on your path back to creator.
cheers m8, keep on keepn on

a series of short tasks over a relatively longer period of time is life. altruistic light moves under the cover of your own darkness.. find this inner torch bearer and accompany them to the end. we all walk together, but we all walk alone. there is no understanding or purpose beyond that
