This place is an echo chamber of insecurity

Y’all complain about other media platforms being echo chambers, but when it comes to anything related to body image; height, face, baldness, dik size etc. the posters come in droves and validate each other’s insecure opinions.

At least be cognizant of the dynamics on this forum. Just because dozens of guys post the same opinion in a honey pot of insecurity, doesn’t make it legitimate.

If you don’t realize it yet, consider it a wake up call. Every forum has selection bias.

this place is legit toxic af for the most part these days. it's a shame cuz some of yall are alright, but any weakminded/insecure/impressionable person visiting this place is gonna have their brain misshapen in some pretty sad ways.

I’m gonna actively combat this a lot more. I think this place is great in many ways, just ruined by folk who want to bring others down instead of dealing with their own insecurities.

Making fun of manlets has been a part of misc culture for well over a decade. I don't really see the insecurity about body image ending anytime soon as it's become increasingly relevant in modern times thanks to social media and dating apps where men are quickly filtered by their physical attributes. The uptick in posts about body image insecurities is a reflection of modern society and the dating scene.

How about you peak between those legs and find some nuts to use. Insecurity stems from a weakness you need to conquer especially those you can’t change. Miscing should make you more secure if you have half a brain because if people feel the need to be nice to you about something it means they’re victimizing you for it. It just makes me rage at how many guys on here come to complain every single day, about the same things, and use the forum to troll and as a dear diary, to make themselves feel better, but never actually try to make any positive improvements to their life IRL. Back in the day, incels would come here actually wanting to improve, and would suck up all of the advice they could and start trying to implement it in their real lives, and would show progress.

I think you’re underestimating how exposure to a certain environment can influence, subtly or subconsciously, your thought processes.

It’s very similar to how just watching left or right leaning news sources will influence your political opinion, unless you actively seek out unbiased sources or expose yourself to both.

The important step is recognizing how we’re all vulnerable to it (except you of course).
