They're bringing back Palpatine?

Just goes to prove that TLJ really fuking destroyed any potential this trilogy had to be unique and creative. Perfectly capable villain in Snoke, and he got ruined in one scene. No other villain options so we get Palpatine back.

JJ going back to his Star Wars karoake.. the people in charge must have thought people didn't like the new change and reverted back to fan service (which is a mistake)

the problem NEVER was that Rian Johnson did new things, that was actually cool. It was how it was done and the way it was done.

Notice the shot of Kylo's helmet being put back together. Like a hint that he JJ is rebuilding what RJ destroyed, if you want to read into it.

Daisy went on a cut for this one it seems. She was embracing the bloat in the last jedi.

Meh don't know. I know I should be excited but I don't feel it anymore. SW lost its magic for me.

These movies are so terrible.
All of them are recycled versions of the original trilogy with weakly introduced characters. They even copy scenes and characters ("as guides and mentors")

You bet your ass there's going to be another trilogy after this cliffhanger ending to generate maximum shekels.

I'm guessing that Rei is Leia and Hans daughter. Explaining the connection to the force. I read the old Star Wars books and Han and Leia had two kids in them. A boy and girl.

So she'll be the Skywalker in this movie, with some kind of far fetched story as to why no one knows about it.

wouldn't it make more sense if she was luke's daughter. with the whole left on a desert planet thing? and palpatine's laugh at the end is something that reminded me of the EU where it was said he ressurected himself or some chit like that.

It would make more sense, but if she's Leia's and Han's, she will then be Kylo's sister, resulting in a "Luke I am your Father" moment...........plus I think everyone assumes she's Luke's. Wouldn't be much surprise.
