Probably means to make sure the child is socialized with black kids and is introduced to black culture. I've heard black people talking about this to white parents who've adopted a black child and single white mothers of mixed children. Its not really much of an issue in my area because the black and white population is almost even. You'd have to go out of your way to keep any child away from other races

This may also help with a kid's identity in the world. The girl I mentioned to you that is biracial has been raised by whites most her life and is more acclimated to white culture, yet on occasion she has mentioned her issues with being biracial but really has few outlets to vent about that. I think a lot of biracial people have some degree of social identity issues so it's good to expose them to both sides of their identity.

What an utterly stupid post-and I say that as a black man. What does the article even MEAN by raising the kid "black"? Does it mean "British black" or "American black"? Because "Afro-British" culture is pretty different from African-American culture.

Agreed with that. Kids end up with identity issues if they aren't around other kids like them. A lot of times they end up isolated. I've noticed a lot people, especially boomer age, have this weird thing where they want to pretend that there are no differences between black and white culture. I just want to look them in the eye and say "It's okay that we're different. We can still be friends while recognizing our differences". It doesn't do anybody any good to pretend like it doesn't exist and can actually be harmful in cases of biracial children like you mentioned.

I feel like there is a solid chance their child would be tragically unattractive. Mixed people are usually pretty attractive but mixed and ginger, what does that even produce? I imagine the baby would mostly just look mixed? I don't know. Queen Elizabeth probably feels like my hardcore Italian Nonna when she found out my cousin got impregnated by Tyrone.
