Millionaires who still want more and more money

despite being set for life are all pretty stupid. I don't care if it's your passion to run a business and a group of people. If you're always stressing about things you're still living a miserable life no matter how you look at it. I'm talking about not just the main things but also the little things that bother you on a regular basis. Imho, it's not supposed to be that way. Money is supposed to be used to free up our time. To have freedom in our lives. To live so peacefully with close to zero stress as much as possible. If I had millions, I would probably not work anymore. I know I am set for life and the life of my family most importantly. Personally, I would use it to experience the beauty of life through traveling and living to different places on earth. I would be the most badass human alive.

Life is supposed to celebrate life. Appreciate everything in this world and be thankful and grateful for everything.

"millions of dollars" can go away pretty quickly if you aren't growing it constantly and are instead just spending it constantly.

to sit on your ass and not worry about anything is not really the mindset that makes you a millionaire in the first place imo. besides, its also a way of keeping score and seeing if youre progressing

Precisely while you'll never be a millionaire.

Maybe you should start a business coaching millionaires on how to enjoy their lives. I'm sure they'll appreciate your insight.

Probably that drive they have to keep improving, keep succeeding is what got them to become millionaires in the first place.

How are you going to sit on your ass if you have $$$$$$$$$? Of course, you will spend it to enjoy life.

You act like they’re mutually exclusive

You don’t have to chose between earning more money, or being happy. You realize that, right?

These... This is a poor man's mentality. "If I had that much money.."

Strong going around to "celebrate life" around the world with your money which is only possible because those millionaires who didn't decide to go to Cabo are still operating their businesses and expanding. All the infrastructure to even allow you to enjoy travelling in the first place is because of the rich.

Unless you want to build your own sailboat and sail across the Atlantic, around Africa and over to India to live in a cave in a remote tribe and get anally raped by a shaman.
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

Nice try. Not bothered here at all. You will probably not become a millionaire as well anyway, so.

I just think you guys are mischaracterizing the point of my thread.

I don't think it's any surprise that the type of person who is driven to succeed financially at that level is the type of person who is still driven to keep succeeding and attain more.

I'm the opposite. I'm not driven to make a bunch of money. My motivations are just different. It would be like changing me into the type of person all of a sudden who craves making money now that I'm in a place where I'm happy with my life and career. I don't see it happening.

We are who we are.

How is that stupid when your intention is to live a fulfilling life? I call it stupid if you acquire more and more knowing you have so so much.

At the end of the day we won't bring all that money but our life experiences to the grave. That's all that matters.

Imaging having different values

Spending your life traveling for instagram pictures and to call yourself cultured will be just as useless as your bank account when you’re dead

It isn't about money for those people. They are mentally pre-wired to want to work and keep working to achieve whatever the next goal is....that is why they became millionaires in the first place.

Normal people who "don't understand why they don't just retire and go have fun for the rest of their lives" prove that they simply don't possess this rare mental wiring, which is why they will never be able to rise to that level even if they fantasize about wanting to.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not against hardworking people who want to eventually become rich one day because I'm striving to that as well. But if you have no satisfaction, you will not reach true happiness in life. Period.

The point is that some people are wired in a specific way. Those business people are wired to get off on the growing a business side. They can't thrive in anything else.

They might get dopamine from the results of their labour which makes them happy. Because happiness is literally neurotransmitters and hormones.

For example, I am not wired to do that and that is why I will probably never be rich. But my brother is very rich and I have the ability to live off of him (because he would allow me to). I can literally quit everything I am doing now and travel. But I don't wanna do that. So not everyone is wired to love going to new places, eating new foods and experiencing different cultures.

You sound like some Instathot. srs
