Anyone watching THE BOYS on Amazon?

Send up of superhero shows, a bunch of human vigilantes trying to make superheroes pay for all the collateral damage they do.

Ep 1 so far. Show is pretty dumb but fun, and the production value is insane. Trailers are on YouTube but they're pretty gory so no embed.

started watching yesterday. 3 episodes in, and so far it's meh, though lol @ them being bargain basement versions of dc & marvel superheroes. not sure why the 9.1 imdb rating. maybe it gets better later on.

Show was awesome lol. Didn't plan on binging it the entire weekend but it was only 8 episodes and they just hooked me in from the get-go. Homelander is the biggest azzhole but he's so funny. And the scene with A-Train seeing that Make-A-Wish kid had me dying lmaoooo.

I'm actually really fuking shocked at how much I'm enjoying it atm.
It plays a good bit more serious than I was expecting. Came in expecting some Super Hero Satire and "Anti Super Hero Movie" type of gags, but it's so far mostly about celebrity culture and corporate overlord chit.

I've already seen Season 1. The finale blew my mind.

The Deep character (Aquaman) has pretty striated shoulders. (no homo) The scene where they show his gills...getting freaky with the sloot in the hotel room...made me cringe so much.

Agreed on the fantastic production. The 4k is also pretty sweet. Will watch season 2.

Right now I've got The Expanse, Umbrella Academy and this on my plate.

Honestly, of the three, it's got me the least hooked, I'm 3 episodes into it. I've already blown through the first season of the Expanse (which I started before these other two). Really the one I'm most hooked on is the Umbrella Academy, which is odd because I've heard almost no buzz about it.

Binge watched over the weekend.

Thought it was absolutely awesome and a great fresh take on the superhero genre. Plot gets dark AF but excellent.

8 hours, and now I have to wait another year for more. Sigh.

Is Queen Maeve "Robin" from HIMYM?

Homelander is a scary mo-fo (dat airplane scene... jesus). He can bring the lulz too though.
