NJ senator outs miscer for tipping $0.74 on restaurant bill
"A New Jersey state senator called out a customer who left a 74-cent tip on bill that was over $100, calling him a “jerk” and revealing his name on Twitter.
It strikes me that the jerks of the world tend to count on people not knowing they’re jerks and maybe it’s time for that to change,” O’Scanlon told northjersey.com.
O’Scanlon posted an unedited photo of the receipt which includes the customer’s name, signature and the last four digits of his debit card."

how do we know the waiter wasn't a complete entitled rube?
inb4 waiters come in telling people how waiters make so little money/barely struggle to survive.
inb4 you fail to realize this waiter probably close to, if not over 100k for carrying food from the kitchen to the table by being flirty with old cucks liek the senator

This is bullchit. You shouldn't have to tip anything. I've left a chit tip before and been judged by idiot communists who have no understanding of how the economy works. They gave me horrible fuking service. Took me 20 fuking minutes to get my motherfuking check. Horrible food, horrible service. And that was the only time I didn't tip in my entire life. I usually tip 15-20% except at delis, where I generally don't tip because there is zero service. I'm not going to fuking pay extra especially if the service is subpar. This senator is a dumb piece of chit. So is every waiter who bitches about a chit tip. There's no point having the tip if you're expected to pay a certain amount more than the fuking negotiated price. There's a fuking contract. There are terms. Am I supposed to just add 20% cost to fuking everything? Even if the food is fuking trash and the service sucks? No. Fuk you. They cried about how I was jeopardizing someone's job. *******s, that money should go to businesses that actually deserve it. Fuking communist fuks.
And when I explained this chit to the fuking comrades, they tried to send me to the gulag telling me that if the business goes under, that poor waiter will lose his job and I am penalizing him and not the business. Plz. Spare me. The guy brought me food. He didn't suck my fuking dick. If he loses this job, there are a zillion other waiter jobs available for him. Fuking spare me the guilt trip. I treat waiters with respect, but I also know that they think they "earned" like $20+ from me just for bringing me food and pouring me water a few times. If I don't plan on coming back and I think your restaurant is chit, you can rest assured that I am not going to leave you any fuking money. If you have a problem and feel unfairly penalized, fuking quit and go work for a restaurant that doesn't suck dick. Can't find one that doesn't suck? Fuking make one and become a millionaire. Or just fuk off. These waiters/waitresses probably have a lot of sex and are "well adjusted" norman fuks too. I don't owe them anything. I'm doing them a favor by giving them business. They don't deserve anything more from me.
Call me cheap I don't give a chit.
And if you're a waiter and you hate your job,
LEARN TO CODE, *******!

If I get fukked up service or the server is dumb i make sure to leave a 1 dollar tip.
Tipping is for good service.
Also restuarants should not be able to take a portion of tips for profit, which they do try in my area. Even know of a bar that unionized over it. The owners were pissed.
I understand if a portion goes to the cooks though.

fkn lol at that $120 to make it even. Rather than going against the customer, this dufus should go after the system that allows it to happen rather than a guy who understands he has the right to put whatever he wants on that line because of it. How does a standard livable wage including a 401k and medical benefits for restaurant workers rather than relying solely on tips sound?

It's never gonna fuking happen, and any communists like Bernie who try to make it happen are just going to fuk the economy doing that. You can't legislate retarded. If a restaurant sucks, it sucks. At the better restaurants, you'll find chefs making like $100k+ and waiters getting $30/hr in tips alone. That's what happens when you run a business that kicks ass. We're literally under 20 years out from NEVER NEEDING WAITERS AGAIN. Let that sink in. They will LITERALLY be useless to the fuking economy in the future, and are ALMOST useless now.

Just cuz the Senator had a hard-on for the waitress, didn't mean the other customer had. That's doxxing and he should be sued.
Also pay your fuking staff, stop relying on tips.

The reality is that the tip is part of the meal price nowadays. If you cannot afford to/don't want to tip at least 17% then you shouldn't be going out to eat. The servers are paid like **** and unless they seriously fuk up the order, they get a 17%+ tip.

Take the “to tip or not to tip” debate out of this situation and take a look at the check. Customer drew a frowny face. Maybe they received terrible service?

BTW every 4-5 times you eat out and don't tip, that's another meal saved. Let that sink in. So, if I'm tipping, it better be damn good food and service.
Also, you should NEVER tip hot waitresses. Only tip incels. Hot waitresses get enough money from thirsty wk. They don't need your tip, and you will not be rewarded with anything later. Resist the urge. Think with your big head.

Another **** head move by these restaurants is demanding tip based off the total price including tax.
So say you spend 200$ tax is 12%, so now you have to pay 15% on 224$? **** off.
Anytime I see mandatory tip included on a bill I pay just that. Havent ran into a situation where the service was so bad I shouldnt tip at those places, but have had good service where I would otherwide tip more but dont, since they include it on the bill like *******s.

I also tip attractive women less than 30% of what I tip ugly men. Gotta keep that wage gap alive. I've seen particularly ugly incel manlet waiters and left a 40% tip. SRS. And I've seen roastie bimbos who put the smiley face on my receipt and try to act all bubbly, and I give them fuking 10%. Fuking bitches. They think I don't know what they are doing.
