Wanted a mini break with the wife to Amsterdam - 3 days tops.

Not been anywhere for years together without the kids, barely a night out since my mother is a moaning piece of $hit and whines when asked to babysit my two boys just for one f@cking evening.

Nevertheless, she agreed to it in principle, and so we booked the flights.

Next thing I know is she says "3 days is too long".

Bear in mind my kids are big time into gaming and would cause no fuss at my parents house, because they have superfast broadband. My parent's would practically not notice they were there. All they need to do is feed them (school holidays).

My parents are oldcels, early 70's, plenty of space in their Victorian home and it's not like my kids need night feeds or nappy changes.

I don't get it - most grandparents would be happy to have their grandkids for a few days? God knows they left me with their mother almost every weekend whilst they went out.

Faced with the choice of cancelling the flight and getting an earlier one home (would cost £30), I have decided that the kids can come along with us and my parents can go smoke a bowl of baby dicks.

Probably gonna add £1k to the cost too.

Next time they want me to go around and move something heavy from the attic - I will be telling them to go suck a fat cock.

Indian parents are one of the best parents you can have. sometimes they can be really strict, but they will take care of you no matter what, and they will buy you what ever it is that you need. as long as your not a selfish ****head.

I feel ya op my mom passed away when I was a kid and my father is on the verge of developing Alzheimer’s. So if we ever need a sitter the only person we have is my wife’s whore mother.

Keep in mind that my Mothers Mother was at our house almost every weekend "babysitting" us (me and 2 siblings), whilst my Mum and Dad were out socializing every Friday and Saturday night.

I know tons of people my parents age that do the same chit. Leave their kids to raised by the grandparents whilst they go out partying but when the bill comes due for them they could care less about their grandchildren. Luckily 3 out of the 4 of mine and my wife's parents would happily keep my son for a couple days if we ask.

It's strange how such a large % of that generation all over the world has this lack of responsibility and sense of entitlement

My Grandmother's sister died and left $200k behind and a house. The brother became the beneficiary, took the $200k, and left to somewhere in Arkansas. By the time everything was said and done, the 3 remaining siblings got about $8k each.

Look after yourself and surround yourself with like minded people. Look after those like minded people. That's all you can do, but most importantly never let anyone drag you down.

Funny you should mention that. We went on vacation recently and I asked my mother to feed our cat whilst we were away.

You'd think I'd asked her to eat a bucket filled with dog chit the way she reacted.

She's 'retired' and lives a mile away. I say 'retired' but she's never had a proper job in her life.

There have been times we are on vacation and she agrees to go see the cats daily and let us know how they are doing. Day 1 she doesn't report in, doesn't answer call or text...same Day 2...Day 3 we finally hear from her that "everything's fine".

We are like bullchit you didn't even go over there for 2 days. Thanks for giving my wife anxiety while we are on vacation bish. Wife is currently gone NC on her parents and we are happier for it.
