My 6 month transformation, pretty dramatic difference.



I find it helps me cope with it by being open about it.

Someone asked me if I had any other pictures of me bald. I found this one whenever I looked through my pictures. It's right after I shaved my head and still had eyebrows.

Sure thing. Back in March I noticed a few spots of hair missing on the back of my head. I went to the dermatologist and he said it was alopecia. At first I was getting shots to help fill in the spots, but the spots grew bigger and bigger and started to multiply. It got to the point where I decided to shave my head. Eventually the disease started to migrate to my eyebrows, eyelashes, facial hair and some of my body. It really knocked me down and killed my self confidence, but eventually I decided to not be negative and dwell on how bad I have it. The disease only attacks hair cells and I'm otherwise healthy.

You let your hair grow a bit on the sides and avoided all sunlight for 6 months?

Unfortunately the side of my head no longer grows hair either. I've noticed that I have a harder time getting as tan as I used to which is weird because in the summer I'm in the sun as much as possible.

Yeah almost. I still have some hair like on the back of my legs, under arms, some minor chest hair, and some pubic hair. Dick hair is gone which is awesome.

You actually don't look ugly or anything at all srs, and can pull that look off. You have a great smile which will make it easy for people to approach you, if you think ppl are judging you for having no hair

Apprciate man, it definitely took me awhile but I eventually decided not to let this control me. Everyone I know has been really supportive to and positive so that helps a lot.

Yeah it's definitely a perk. I'm also a firefighter and we have to be clean shaven every shift so it definitely helps in that aspect too.

Brother in law just got a head tattoo that looks like a 100% legit buzzcut, somethubg like that may be worth looking into if you're still feeling subconscious about it, but really I wouldnt worry.

Yeah I'm 28 and it came on within months when I was 27 so yes its very possible to happen later on in life.
