Are guns 100% illegal in the UK?
Let's say you live out in the sticks and want to kill a deer or wild coyotes or something. Is there absolutely no way for you to get a rifle or shotgun legally?

I honestly don't know, I don't care about the law. Half the chit I do is illegal. Just don't be dumb and get caught.
Sorry though can't answer your question

No they aren't.
Anything considered a "hunting" gun is legal. And there are some antique guns you can have like WW2 guns.
But it is extremely difficult and there's lots of rules around buying them and keeping them and how much ammo you can buy.

For shooting obviously. Only on specific estates and have to be licensed to keep them, have to be very securely stored. So no, you can’t just Craigslist a gun and enter a forest

You can have a shotgun license, or an FAC (firearms cert) if you want a firearm that fires cartridge ammo.
The stipulations are strict.
If you have land to shoot on or are a farmer, game keeper, or ghillie etc it’s easy to obtain a license.
Pistols and target rifles are available to own, if you’re a member of a club with a range.
If you don’t, it’s very very difficult.
All firearms must be kept in a locker, that is bolted to two surfaces, ie the floor and a wall.
The keys must never be kept nearby. Ammo can be kept anywhere. Police often carry out spot checks.
A criminal record, or history of mental illness, bars you from owning any firearm for life.
Hope this helps

No they are not but there are a lot of restrictions in place.
You can own a shotgun and rifles (If you specify a reason), if you have a gun licence and you have the appropriate place to store the gun.
Hunting you cant really do in the same way as you do in the US, as all land in the UK is pretty much privately owned there is hardly any public land, so you have to often get permission to go on their land to do that.
The UK doesnt really have any large forests bar some specific areas.

"Pepper spray is almost completely banned in the UK. Its ownership, carry and use by common citizens is banned under Section 5(1)(b) of the Firearms Act 1968.
Believe it or not, in the UK pepper spray / CS Gas is considered a firearm and carries the same legal penalties as carrying a gun"
