Atlanta police officers with mass walk out, insanity ensuing
Mass walkouts, several zones(30+ officers/half of entire shift), of Atlanta police department.
Mayor has requested assistance from other jurisdictions, officers from those jurisdictions refusing to answer calls other than officer down calls.
Texts from Atlanta officer - "I can confirm the walk-off is real. Whole shifts have left and overnight shifts are refusing to come in"

They need to take a stand themselves. This is totally unfair and putting their lives in danger. The guy had his taser stolen and he attempted to shoot him with it. What happens if the taser hit the cop and the guy grabs his gun while being tased and shoots him in the head. I wouldnt have shot him, but I can understand why he felt his life was in danger at that point. I would quit on the spot. We are jumping from one extreme to another. Before cops were not held accountable at all. Now, cops are expected to not defend themselves until they get shot at with guns.

Really, really unfortunate, but I also say good in a sense as well. It's a constructive form of protest, and why should they put themselves in danger when they can't even reasonably defend themselves? Also, this is what places like Atlanta wanted. "ACAB, dismantle the police!" Right? Okay, here it is taking place.
I just feel sorry for the innocent people who will be affected without a police presence.
