I've heard firearms aren't legal in Aus. The Free state I live in now I can own ANYTHING with the right paperwork and carry concealed without a permit.

I once watched some YouTube tutorials from an Aussie tradie and he seemed like ultra professional and overly methodically clean cut about his approach to work

It's now profitable for Chinese criminal gangs to send people over on commercial flights with a suitcase full of cigarettes, to avoid duty.

So they pay for a return trip from China, hotel + expenses + pay for the mule, a suitcase of cigarettes and make profit by selling them cheaper than cigarettes than have paid duty to get into Australia. That includes the losses because Customs does luggage checks and fines people for bringing in cigs over the duty free limit.
