How many calories a day would you need to be happy

In a perfect world I would say 4000

Two big meals of 1500 each

Then a big juicy 1000 calorie desert after dinner

No breakfast

All I need is to burn 4000 calories a day and I can life in perfect happiness without getting fat

I mostly forcefeed myself to get 3600 calories a day.

If I didn't eat clean that would be perfect. Since I eat clean, it is kind of a pain in the ass to get that many calories all the time.

2000 would be great.

I'm consistently eating 1200-1500 calories a day. Sometimes less now that I'm not working out.

Thus unlamented let me die;

depends on the quality of eating

clean food, 3k is pretty damn high and would be enough

if it's a case of eating ice cream, donuts and pizza, might need to bump them up to 5 or 6k

About 6000
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

I thought we got rid of „clean eating“ in 2008.

Honestly? 2000-2500. That's where I'm sitting at, being sedentary now besides training. It's a good, comfortable level for maintenance. It's on the low end for sure, but I have a really slow metabolism and always have. There's also a lot of research linking caloric restriction to longevity in rats. It might apply to humans as well. I used to force feed myself tons of excess calories in the past. It's hard on your gut and is generally uncomfortable. I've been following an IF protocol for almost a decade now and find it such a convenient way to eat in the day. I eat 12pm-8pm. I'll have a large lunch at noon, something in the afternoon around 4-5, then a large dinner at 7. Works really well.

People ITT need to try IF.

Im eating 3k cals every day, and even leaning a bit because thats slightly under maintenance (apparently), and i get to eat pretty much anything i want. Cheeseburgers, pizza, tacos, you name it.

I could push that number to 3500 and train a bit harder... honestly now more than ever i have a very healthy relationship with food.

Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

Repped. IF is great. I can't imagine going back to eating breakfast early in the morning.

I maintain around 3300, and can comfortably cut around 2500. I've cut as low as 1700 before, which is doable but feels like trash a lot of the time.

Honestly if I could maintain at 5k that would be the GOAT life. I don't have huge hunger, but I've never really had a day where I felt like I ate too much even if it's a purpose cheat/binge day. Bottomless pit without the cravings basically

If I eat above 2000 calories I get fat

3500 would be perfect
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

I could easily do three 1500 cal meals... lot of my guilty pleasures are very calorie dense, so maybe more....not even factoring in booze

Not so much metabolism itself, moreso micromovements done throughout the day.

If you fidget, shake your leg, get up and move around a lot throughout the day you burn a lot more calories than the people who sit stationary for the whole time.

I work a desk job but constantly get up and move, twirl **** in my hands, do the leg shake thing, etc. and I burn more passively than most people with desk jobs.

Also do more cardio for free snack calories
