Cashier at Jack In The Box told me she couldn't serve me because I wasn't wearing a mask. I was in the drive thru. 100% dead srs unfortunately.

I was next in line, so I had my windows down, people in front of me placed their order, no problem, no question about facial covering.

Soon as I pulled up next, sloot IMMEDIATELY asked me if I had a mask I could put on(no, it's summer and hot AF, I'm not driving around with a mask on)

I'm pretty sure they have a camera or something on the drive thru menu because she def couldn't of been able to see me otherwise.

So yea, I had to wait for the two cars in front of me to get served and then leave like a cuck.

- putting plastic wrap over the credit card machines as if it matter ls if covid rests on the machines plastic vs. the plastic wrap

- closing schools despite kids being virtually immune and incapable of spreading the disease

- tupperware containers at drive through. seriously why? you touched everything to put it in the container already, what difference does it make

- mask to walk through 10 ft lobby of gym and then can remove it once you get to all the highly infected areas

- disabling the soda machines at wawa and 7-11. its ok to touch literally everything else in the store, just not the soda cups?

- Starbucks installing a plexiglass shield at the register and the barista STILL requesting that i pull my mask over my nose

- idk, literally everything honestly

went to a brunch spot with the fiancé, sloot asks if we have masks and we say no, asks if we want one, oblige, she hands us 2 paper towels and tells us to hold them above out face. Weirdest covid enounter yet. Also raw dog most places

Burger King near me has you place your atm card in a basket. Then they take the card out of the basket to swipe it. Then they put it in the basket and hand it to you.

How is this different than just giving them your card directly?

The closest Taco Bell by me has been passing orders through a tupperware bin as well. I have absolutely zero idea what they're trying to accomplish by doing it. It's not that hard to hand the bag off to the customers without touching their hands. Especially when so many of them are trying to avoid accidentally touching the workers' hands these days.

A local grocery store chain is spraying down the belt in between each customer's loads of groceries. Gets the bottoms of the groceries slightly soggy, and does nothing because they use chemical cleaners that are supposed to sit for 10+ minutes before wiping them off to be effective. But they treat these cleaners like they're Lysol or isopropyl alcohol that would kill covid within seconds. They do this with card keypads at a hardware shop too.

Lunch cafeteria style gloves being worn by every fast food employee now. As if wearing them without changing them in between each customer, or at least on a very regular basis, is going to do anything but spread the germs all over just like using their bare hands. Honestly, the overuse of gloves by these fast food/restaurant workers now probably just makes their hand hygiene worse while accomplishing nothing. Wearing cafeteria style gloves was never really about preventing the spread of viruses, but to just be less gross in general. People generally don't like the idea of your hand oils/sweat being all over their food. Yes it's hygienic in that sense, but no it's still not going to do anything about a virus like covid. It makes literally zero sense for the people who just working the cash registers and at most handling cups and food bags to be constantly wearing them.

Masks. Yeah I know this one gets a lot of backlash, but I'm going to keep this one simple. Literally every time I go out, I constantly see these "masks" being worn improperly, including by employees. Noses hanging out, constantly touching their faces to adjust them, leaving huge gaps in the sides, etc. And we've already established (CDC says so themselves) that asymptomatic spread is rare, so if your employees are healthy then anything short of an n95 mask to help actually protect THEMSELVES is pointless. Making your healthy workers wear what appears to be a cut of cloth from a pair of underwear or a horse feed bag isn't going to make me any safer, and if they are coughing, they shouldn't be at work regardless.
